Miami VS Chicago I think that the reason Miami is higher in theft, auto theft, and burglary are because they are categories that yeild wealthier rewards, because Miami has the largest density of banks, arts and trade. The people that live there will have more expensive items for theft. People will want to steal in the state of Miami more than Chicago for that reason. Also there are subways in Chicago and there are no subways in Miami so you would need a car more in Miami rather than Chicago.
Miami VS LA
Miami is higher in everything on the charts because Miami is a bigger city than L.A. More people that can steal in Miami rather than L.A. However, I think L.A. has a lower theft percentage because L.A. is full of unwealthy people, so there would be very little to steal. Plus what they could steal probably wouldn't be worth anything anyway, like I said they aren't wealthy so what could they buy that is worth something to someone anyway? Also L.A. has better police than Miami so in L.A. people are less likely to do something without getting caught but in Miami people can do things and get away with it easily.
Miami VS Portsmouth
Portsmouth has very, very little crime compared to all the national ratio except, that the theft ratios of Portsmouth and the national one are almost completely the same. Portsmouth has no murder and very little other crime. Portsmouth is barely populated compared to L.A., Miami, New York, or Chicago! They are way bigger place than Portsmouth. Therefore it is way easier enforce the law in Portsmouth rather than a big over populated state like Miami.

Bottle Making-
1.I think that they are made from amorphous solids because this kind of solid does not melt. It will only become softer if heated and can become another substance or object.
2.If the glass is not warm when the Parison is placed inside it has to be close to the same temp because other wise the glass will not mold and needs to cool very slowly until it is fully molded. 3.I think it is high so it's easier to mold and form a shape around the bottle.
4.Probably because it cool's really fast or it does with the acid around it.

E.T. Conclusion:
I think that Elf has a very good point! I think that the car could be taken as a life form. He stated that it has a lot of what a living thing has, waste, it needs to have gas (food). So I think that Elf is correct, the car could be taken as a life form from earth and I would consider the car a life form because it has a lot of what a real living thing needs and has.

Apple- Living or non-living?
I think that the apple was alive before it was picked off of the apple tree. Because when it was on the apple tree it was growing, on the tree the apple was getting what it needed from the tree and things around it (sun) to grow. When it was picked it was cut off from sun light, and what it got from the tree and things around it. It was cut off from what it needs to be alive so it was at one time alive (when on the tree) and now I think it is not alive because it is no longer growing.
